in this session we're going to look at choosing switches and routers for the campus we have lots of choices and what we're going to look in this session are the minimum requirements for layer 2 devices and then we'll look at the specific needs for edge switches distribution switches the campus core router and the campus border router in all cases we will use examples of mainstream vendor models to give the network administrator a guide as to the typical features we are looking for in our campus devices this is my no means a recommendation for any particular vendor brand over any others.
